Evaluations

A comprehensive evaluation is conducted, during play, to determine the need for speech and/or language therapy due to a communication delay or disorder. Comprehensive evaluations include:

  • Primary care doctor’s referral may be required depending on your insurance.
  • 50-60+ minutes in length
  • formal assessments comparing performances to chronologically aged peers
  • combination of parent information, observations, formal and dynamic assessments
  • results explained and provided during the session
  • Strengths/Needs and recommendations provided.
