Evaluations
A comprehensive evaluation is conducted, during play, to determine the need for speech and/or language therapy due to a communication delay or disorder. Comprehensive evaluations include:
- Primary care doctor’s referral may be required depending on your insurance.
- 50-60+ minutes in length
- formal assessments comparing performances to chronologically aged peers
- combination of parent information, observations, formal and dynamic assessments
- results explained and provided during the session
- Strengths/Needs and recommendations provided.
