
Shout Speech & Language Therapy serves children with communication needs increase their speech and language skills to effectively communicate their wants, needs and knowledge. At Shout we teach parents and caregivers ways to facilitate language development in their homes. Shout also provides language developmental trainings; IEP trainings and coaching to give parents the tools they need to be an active and confident IEP team member.

Get to know your Therapist
Sherley L. Jackson is a Speech-Language Pathologist certified by the American Speech-Language Association and licensed with the Georgia Department of Education and Board of Speech & Language Pathology. She has held licenses and provided services in Louisiana, Florida, and North Carolina. Born and raised in Miami, Florida the fourth of five daughters, Sherley grew up in a bilingual home. Growing up in a Haitian home provided the perfect environment for her to develop a love for languages and cultures.
Sherley earned a Bachelor of Science and a Masters of Science degree in Audiology and Speech Pathology from Florida State University. She earned a specialist degree in Special Education from the University of West Georgia. Sherley has 22 years of experience in the field, 20 of which have been in the public school system, working with PK through 5th-grade students in special education programs. She has worked with children with various cultural, ethnic, socioeconomic backgrounds, and abilities.
In addition to being a therapist, Sherley has served as a Speech Assessment Consultant with The East Baton Rouge Parrish school system and in 2011 was named Okeechobee County’s Exceptional Student Education’s Teacher of the Year!
Her primary concentrations include early language and articulation/phonological delays. Sherley continues to interest include multicultural issues, IEP coaching and development, and new parent training on facilitating language development in everyday home activities. Sherley is recognized as a Hanen Certified Speech Language Pathologist and a Master IEP Coach with Catherine Whitcher, M.Ed.
Sherley is the mother of 3 amazing girls (16, 14 & 9 years old) and the wife to a wonderful football coach who keeps her family on the go. During her downtime (mainly summers) she enjoys returning home to Florida and spending time with family, reading, crafting, and sleeping in.
