Sherley L. Jackson is a Speech-Language Pathologist certified by the American Speech-Language Association and licensed with Georgia Department of Education and Board of Speech & Language Pathology. She has held licenses and provided services in Louisiana,
Florida, and North Carolina. Born and raised in Miami, Florida Sherley graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science degree in Audiology and Speech Pathology. She earned a specialist degree in Special Education from the University of West Georgia. Sherley has 20 plus years of experience in the field, 19 of which has been in the public school system, working with PK through 5th-grade students in special education programs. She has worked with children with various cultural, ethnic, socioeconomic backgrounds, and abilities.
In addition to being a therapist, Sherley has served as a Speech Assessment Consultant with The East Baton Rouge Parrish school system and in 2011 was named Okeechobee County’s ESE Teacher of the Year!
Her primary concentrations include early language and articulation/phonological delays, multicultural issues, IEP coaching and development, and new parent training on facilitating language development in everyday home activities. In addition to providing therapy services, Sherley the Master IEP Coach Mentorship with Catherine Whitcher, M.Ed. and serves parents through coaching and training about Special Education Services.
Sherley is the mother of 3 amazing girls (14, 12 & 7 years old) and the wife to a wonderful football coach who keeps her family on the go. During her downtime (mainly summers) she enjoys spending time in Florida with family, reading, crafting, and sleeping in. Along with being a wife, mom, and therapist, other interests include inspiring others to live the way God intended.
