Don’t forget to take scheduled breaks! You know your child. Schedule breaks or take one when you feel it’s needed. My ophthalmologist would always say 20 mins on screen and 20 mins off. Our kids are exceeding that 5xs a day. Go outside, get up and move. How many breaks are your kids allowed during remote learning day?
Add to their vocabulary this month. Every month I introduce words my students may here during the month. All month long I fit these words into therapy. Parents this is not just for therapist you can do the same.
A week of Zoom PDs, most were not useful for my therapy needs. So, this was the best back to school task I completed this week. If anyone is interested I don’t mind sending you an editable version. #bitmojislp #bitmojiclassroom #teletherapymaterials
Summer postcards for my students. #summerspeech #slplife #blackslps #speechtherapy #schoolbasedslp
New Blog Post: Race will come up when we return to school in the fall. We can not ignore that a large portion of many of our caseloads are Black children who are not feeling valued. Here are some things to do and don’t do. Visit my site (link in bio) for more information.
🚨 Boom Cards: Functional activities while home Laundry, Morning Breakfast and verbs. These are some of the cards I used with my students. These are not just activities, included are learning cards. It’s an entire lesson. Find them in my shoutsltherapy store on Boom Learning. Great for summer learning and easy for parents to use!
